On September 9, 2021, we spoke with Dylan Tanner & Kendra Haven of Influence Map to explore “CPR and Climate Policy Mapping: Tracking Scope 4 Emissions”

Achieving the Paris Climate Accords goals will require vast political and corporate commitments. But what will it ultimately take? And what are groups like InfluenceMap working on to reach those goals?

In this module, we explore:

  • What policies will be needed to live up to the Paris Accords?
  • What is InfluenceMap currently working on?

The Corporate Political Responsibility Taskforce (CPRT)’s Expert Dialogues are in-depth, recorded conversations with academic experts, stakeholder advocates and business practitioners to provide our members and other CPR champions with the expertise and context they need to develop principled, proactive CPR strategies. We invite those interested in a constructive, non-partisan, principles-based discussion.

InfluenceMap was founded in 2015 to track companies’ “Scope 4” emissions: the impact of their influence on climate policy, in the US, Europe and Asia. Their methodology includes direct advocacy, trade association relationships and lobbying intensity, and how they advance policies designed to limit global warming to 1.5o C.
