On July 9, 2025, Elizabeth Doty will join the Aspen Institute’s annual Business & Society Summit to facilitate a roundtable discussion with a small group of corporate executives, long-term investors, corporate governance experts, academic luminaries, NGO leaders, and strategic advisors.
As the challenges facing U.S. constitutional democracy grow more complex, this vital conversation invites leaders to reflect on business’ interests and legitimate role in supporting and sustaining civic institutions, regardless of the political environment – and then translate that into practical, personal actions. Specifically, we will consider the range of ways organizations are experiencing the current moment, what non-partisan, “third side” actions may be called for, and how individual leaders can discern their most effective roles.
