Our Advisors are Being Recognized for Net Positive Leadership, Outlining Pro-market Solutions and Advancing Collaborative Problem-solving

This month’s Advisory Board updates showcase leadership in principled influence—from recognition among the world’s top thinkers to innovative policy work and cross-sector convening. Together, these contributions reinforce CPR’s commitment to trustworthy, responsible engagement.

Andrew Winston, author, climate strategist, and Advisory Board Member of The CPR Hub, was ranked #1 on the 2025 Thinkers50 global list of management thinkers—alongside his Net Positive co-author Paul Polman, who also shares the top distinction. Their recognition reflects the expanding influence of leaders advancing net positive advocacy—an approach that closely aligns with CPR’s own definition of responsible business influence: having a net positive impact on the economic, civic, and natural systems on which free enterprise depends. We also welcome Jen Stark, Corporate Social Impact Expert and new Advisory Board Member of The CPR Hub, who was recognized in this year’s Thinkers50 ranking for her work as Co-Director of the Center for Business and Social Justice. Her inclusion highlights her leadership in strengthening civic trust and responsible business governance.

For CPR practitioners, these honors reinforce a shared message: that credible, long-term business leadership is inseparable from integrity, transparency, and constructive engagement with stakeholders—principles at the core of Corporate Political Responsibility.

Karthik Ramanna, Oxford professor and Advisory Board Member of The CPR Hub, has launched a new initiative exploring pro-market frameworks to accelerate decarbonization. His latest piece in ProMarket argues that clear emissions accounting, credible data, and disciplined market rules can drive meaningful climate progress while preserving free choice and avoiding unnecessary regulatory constraints. A forthcoming second part outlines how such a proposal can be advanced within today’s politically polarized environment.

Ramanna’s perspective aligns directly with the CPR Principle of Responsibility, emphasizing market rules that reward innovation, uphold economic integrity, and strengthen democratic legitimacy. It invites leaders to ask: How are we supporting pro-market rules that reward responsible innovation—whether around decarbonization or other emerging priorities? And how might companies apply similar discipline and clarity in their policy engagement and long-term climate commitments?

Elizabeth Doty, Executive Director of Third Side Strategies, has joined the Leadership Council at the Convergence Center for Policy Resolution. Convergence is known for its bridge-building, multi-stakeholder convenings grounded in trust, curiosity, and rigorous dialogue—bringing diverse voices together to find durable solutions to complex public challenges.

Doty’s appointment reflects the deep alignment between CPR’s principled influence ‘third side approach’  framework and Convergence’s commitment to cross-sector collaboration. As polarization intensifies, this work illustrates how leaders can create the constructive conditions to foster collaborative problem-solving on contentious issues — anchored on shared purpose rather than adversarial postures.
